- Could not duplicate "grinding" noise. Inspected brakes found the front pads are at 9 mm, but the rotors have rust built up on edges & slight grooves in surface. Rear pads are at 7 mm, but the rear rotors have rust built up on edges. The rust built up on edges may be making contact with the pad material at times when turning resulting in a squeak or grinding type noise. Slight groan type noise from inside steering column when turning at slow speeds.
